Hi friends,
I'm a Dj based in DC.
I first heard of Richard bona in 1999 when I was at the University of Yaounde 1 in Cameroon.
At that time, I remember someone say "Tiens ,il chante comme Henri Dikongue" lol. At that time, we could only compare him with someone who was playing that genre.Henri Dikongue was the closest (He always talks fondly about Richard by the way).I quickly became a fan and introduced his songs to anyone who cared to listen.
When I came to know him personally, I discovered that he's not just gifted but down to earth and humble.Qualities that just reaffirmed my love for his body of work and makes me to only wish he goes a lot higher.
Unfortunately I can't really play an instrument like JR but I did a remix of some of his songs that I;ll like too share
